This really is a quick, family recipe. It is what my family has done since I was a child to make our steaks a bit more exciting and since BBQ season is here, I find myself making this more and more.
Start with 2 bunches of green onions, chopped. Once the steak is cooked, set it aside to rest.
The green onions go into the same pan the steak was cooked in until they soften (about 1 minute). From there, add 1/4 C of balsamic vinegar and a few Tbsps of water. Let the sauce simmer for several minutes until is reduces and becomes less liquidy. You also want to give the vinegar some time to burn off the sharpness. Season with some salt.
This entire process takes a few minutes.
By now the steak will have rested and you can serve the sauce on your steak with your favourite side dish.
