A Bit of Sauce

Sauces make the world go ’round.  They can turn any dish into something special and by changing up the sauce, you get new creations every time.  Sauces can be served as a condiment, a marinade, an ingredient in the recipe or even a delicious afterthought but are meant to add flavour to a dish.  They can be served cold or warm, and range from very liquid like an au jus, with a bit of flour to make a gravy, thicker like a pesto, chunky like a pico de gallo or in salads in the form of dressings, sweet, sour, salty or savoury.  Try your hand at some of these more popular, delicious sauces from around the globe and soon you , too, will become a saucier 🙂
